Overview

Tracer ("the app", "we", "our") is an augmented reality tracing tool for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Tracer.

Tracer is designed with privacy at its core. All processing happens entirely on your device. We do not operate servers, collect analytics, or store any user data.
02

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store on our systems any of the following:

Tracer has no servers and no network code. Nothing leaves your device.

03

On-Device Storage

So you can close Tracer and pick up your tracing exactly where you left off, the app saves a small amount of data locally on your iPhone:

This data is written to Tracer's private app container, which is sandboxed by iOS and not readable by other apps. It is never uploaded or shared.

You can erase it at any time: tap the reset button in the app to remove the placed image, or delete Tracer from your iPhone. Both wipe the saved session completely.
04

Camera Access

Tracer requires access to your iPhone's camera to provide the augmented reality experience. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

You can revoke camera access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Tracer.

05

Photo Library Access

When you choose to load a reference image, Tracer requests access to your photo library. The selected image is loaded into the app's memory solely to display it as an AR overlay.

Your photos are never uploaded, shared, or stored outside of your device.

You can revoke photo library access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Tracer.

06

Third-Party Services

Tracer does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. There are no third parties with access to your data through this app.

07

Children's Privacy

Tracer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

08

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
